Pigeons
Resistance of parasites to a particular class of anthelmintics may occur after frequent use of an anthelmintic from that class.
To prevent re-infection of treated animals, it is important to take measures in the environment, such as disinfection of the enclosure, feed and water bowls, as well as removal of substrate/soil coverings, so that eggs in the environment are destroyed or removed.
